Six steps,
in this order
Packaging goes wrong in predictable places: a dimension taken from a drawing instead of the product, a colour approved on a screen, a run committed to without a sample. The sequence below exists to close those gaps.
Brief
We start from the product, not the box. Dimensions, weight, fragility, how it ships and where it lands.
- Product photos or a sample
- Rough quantity and budget
- Any brand files you have
- A structure recommendation
- An indicative cost per unit
- A realistic timeline
Structure
A dieline drawn to your exact product, with the board specified for the journey it has to survive.
- Confirmation of dimensions
- Courier or retail requirements
- Dieline in AI / PDF
- Board and flute spec
- 3D visual of the folded box
Artwork
Your design applied to the dieline, or designed from scratch. Files built for the press, not for screen.
- Logo and brand assets
- Copy, barcodes, compliance marks
- Print-ready artwork
- Colour build in CMYK + spots
- A visual proof to sign off
Sample
A physical prototype before anything runs. This is where board weight and fit get argued out, cheaply.
- Sign-off on the proof
- A courier address
- Physical sample box
- Fit test with your product
- One free revision round
Production
Print, die-cut, finish, glue, assemble. Checked on the floor at press start and again before dispatch.
- Final approval
- Delivery address and dates
- Full run produced
- QC photos before dispatch
- Delivery to your door
Reorder
Dielines, plates and specs stay on file. The second run is a message, not a project.
- Quantity and date
- Same spec, no re-setup
- Shorter lead time
- Volume pricing as you scale
Questions we get
before the first order
If yours isn't here, ask it directly — info@yopackage.com reaches a person, not a queue.
Most structures start at 250–500 units. Rigid and drawer boxes start at 250 because the tooling is the same whether you order 250 or 2,500. If you need fewer for a launch or a trade show, ask — short digital runs are sometimes possible at a higher unit cost.
No. If you have brand files we work to them; if you don't, we design the artwork and the structure together. Either way you receive the dieline and the print-ready files, and they are yours to keep.
Yes, and we insist on it. Every job includes a physical sample before production. Board behaves differently from a screen, and the sample is the cheapest place to change your mind.
Twelve to eighteen working days from approved artwork, depending on the finish. Foil and rigid construction add time; plain kraft mailers are the quickest. Reorders are faster because the setup is already done.
Most of what we run is recyclable in ordinary paper streams. We can spec recycled content, water-based inks, and drop lamination entirely where the structure allows it. We will tell you honestly when a finish makes a box harder to recycle.
Yes. Production is coordinated end to end and delivered to your address or your fulfilment centre. For repeat clients we can hold stock and release it in batches.
